Ridiculas, simply ridiculas.

On the bright side, the team ERA keeps falling is making me happy, though i'm not too comfident in Rasner's and DeSalvo's ability to keep this up, I'm getting the feeling that it's the first time around advantage right now, though i'll gladely take it and hope Roger and Hughes are ready when the advantage starts to wear off

I agree. By the way, sorry I didn't reply to you about Igawa before. A little busy.

I think his control in Japan is exactly what you've seen with the Yankees. Erratic. Sometimes unhittable, sometimes up in the zone and flat.

In Japan, those up in the zone pitches can still overpower the bottom of the lineup. In America, those pitches end up 450 feet away in the seats. An AL #9 hitter is almost like some Japanese teams' #5 . Igawa can be a good pitcher in New York if he keeps those pitches down. If he manages that adjustment, you'll see him win 10-12 games for the Bombers next year as the #5.
